On Monday 26th October, 2009, The Ministry of Planning, Housing and the Environment (MPHE) held a forum on Climate Change to sensitize groups of stakeholders on issues relevant to climate change and explain what the government has been doing thus far and how this will impact the discussions on climate change that will take place at the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and climate change talks in Copenhagen, Denmark in December 2009.

The Honourable Minister of Planning, Housing and the Environment, Dr. Emily Dick-Forde, delivered the feature presentation on the topic Meeting the Climate Change Challenge in Trinidad and Tobago

Presentations were also made by Mr. Kishan Kumarsingh, Head, Multilateral Agreements Unit, MPHE on the topic A Guide to the Road to Copenhagen and by Ms. Petal Thomas, Reserach Specialist, MPHE on the topic The Economics of Proposed Responses to Climate Change
